This Instructure is designed to allow you to use an iPad or tablet on your bed, on the floor or on your desk. Even the apartment can be made with some basic tools. I can now comfortably use my iPad on the bed, and before I have to hold it on my chest at an uncomfortable angle. This design supports lateral or longitudinal mode by adjusting the position of the top bracket. The frame can be easily disassembled for travel. If the tablet is tilted horizontally, it can also be used as a tripod for the device camera, or even a copy holder. The complete bracket has three parts: the frame, the bracket and the bracket. The bracket is optional, but it does provide a convenient handle for carrying. The only tool required is the PVC pipe cutter, tape measure and drill bit. The tubing cutter is the most expensive product, but it can be cut easily and cleanly without dust. Steel saw can also be used. All this material is available from your local home improvement store ( However, it\'s really hard for me to find 3- Road side outlet elbow of Home Depot). Project use 10- 24 machine screws and wing nuts ( This is the thick line type, don\'t put it and 10-32 fine thread). The drill bit is 1/4 \", which makes the hole of the screw slightly too large, so it is easier to align the parts. Unless a particular instruction says it is important, most sizes can be changed to your liking. PVC is the plain white schedule 40 most easily found. Make sure all elbows have a \"slide\" fitting with no threads inside. Buy all the PVC from the same store so you can make sure it fits well together. Make sure you get the right PVC cement. What you want is PVC cement, not CPVC or other Acronym acronyms. The dimensions of all PVC pipes and fittings shall be 1/2. You will need the following: 1. ) 1/2 \"schedule 40 3 PVC pipes ( Sold at Lowe\'s in length of 4 or 5 feet) , Consider the extra, because you will undoubtedly cut something too short ($5-$6)2. ) 6 90 degrees PVC elbows ($2)3. ) Two 45-degree elbows ($1. 50)4. )five \'tees\' ( 3-Way Connector in shape like \"t)($3)5. )four 3-way ( Also known as \"side out \") The elbow shape of the support bracket is a bit like a small tripod ( This is not the same as the \"tee\" above)($6)6. )2 end caps ($1)7. ) Rubber hose gasket ( Sold in garden hose section)($1-$2)8. ) 220 or similar sand sandpaper for the removal of printed marks on PVC pipes and fittings. )four 3\", one 2. 5 \", 1 2\" 10- 24 thick machine screws, 6 10-24 wing nuts ($7)10. )PVC cement ( Don\'t get the Purple primer- This is unnecessary and will only make a mess)($5)11. ) Electric drill and 1/4 bit, preferably the Brad tip bit, instead of the more common twist bit ($6 at most)12. ) Tape measure ( Always use the same one)13. ) PVC cutter or hacksaw ($12 to $25)14. ) Sharpie fine point marks or marks equivalent to the position on the marked pvc do not glue anything until you actually use the stand for a while. You have to support it with care to make sure it doesn\'t break apart, but there\'s no way back once you \'ve glued the PVC. Use the necessary minimum cement ( I wipe the brush on the side of the jar so it doesn\'t drop down and gently bypass the inside of the accessory once). You\'ll get 1- 2 seconds before it\'s completely dry, put everything together first, then practice putting the joints together the way you want. If you don\'t use a tape measure, each tic represents an inch of 1/16 and two tics make up 1/8 together. There are (eight) 8 per inch. The frame can hold the iPad or tablet firmly on the stand. It\'s just two horizontal bars at the top and bottom and a central vertical connector. Multiple holes can be drilled on the vertical connector to allow you to adjust the height. There are four- Act as a way or \"side outlet\" elbow to support your device. Two support weights at the bottom and two supports at the top protect your device from the side. Be careful not to tilt the stand too far forward or backward, otherwise the tablet will slide out. An optional \"stand\" can be made that allows you to support your device on a table or other surface. The size here is the size of the iPad 2. You can check other devices against these measurements to make sure they work properly. If in doubt, cut the tube a little longer, so that if you cut the tube short, you can always cut it off instead of starting over. If you try to tighten the wing nut too much, the support machine screws turn in place to help prevent excessivetightening. The hose gasket is squeezed between parts to better catch the object and tighten the machine screws more easily. Making the frame first will make it easier to adjust the final height of the bracket so you know how long it will take to cut some of the brackets. You need to drill two 1/4 holes on each of the two top horizontal components, one for the lateral positioning of the tablet ( Flat Panel) , Another to protect the equipment vertically ( Long vertical axis). The bottom two parts of the bottom bracket only need one hole. 3 \"The machine screw is used to connect each bracket to the pipe with a hose gasket between the bracket and the pipe. The frame is connected to the main top crossbar of the bracket with a 2 \"machine screw and a hose gasket. The holes on the connecting vertical parts are somewhat arbitrary. You need to have a hole in the top tee to connect the bracket or directly to the bracket. In general, the frame should be attached to the bracket at the highest point of the frame so that the bracket does not become heavy, but it is still possible to leave a comfortable gap for your body under the frame. Some attempts and errors may be needed to find the best height. The PVC is very slippery, and if you don\'t point out that the bit is going to grab in, the bit is likely to \"roam\" or slip. You can tap the drill bit at the bottom of the accessory gently to make a small turf, or use nails and hammers. Try using the woodworking \"brad point\" if you can \". It has a sharp point that helps prevent sliding that can occur with more common \"distorted bits. If you don\'t have the right stop, you can put an old phone book under the pipe or fitting you\'re drilling. Make sure to cover any screw head that comes in contact with the tablet so it doesn\'t scratch. You can use a thick piece of tape, Band-Aid or some rubber shelf padding if necessary. You can wrap strings or paracord around the pipe to place the tablet in the frame more comfortably. Sandpaper removes the handwriting on the PVC. However, do not polish the handwriting on the part that fits the joint, otherwise the connection may be too loose. Remember, don\'t glue anything until you finish and start using your stand. The length of the main crossbar connected to the frame is arbitrary. Customize the final height of the bed stand by placing the tablet above the chest to see if it is necessary to adjust the length or length of the vertical part beyond 2. 5\". If you mostly use the stand on the hard board while sitting, the tablet will be lower as your body drops a few inches on the soft mattress. You may want to permanently unlock the vertical part so that you can replace the different sizes depending on where and who you are using the bracket. Cut the longest one first. For the cut length of each section, please refer to the picture. Each fitting forms two joints with adjacent pipes. In some cases, as shown in the figure, only * one joint is bonded on the accessory. Do not glue either side of the joint indicated by the Red Arrow. The red bottom joint allows the legs resting on the surface to turn outward or inward as you move the stand closer or further. It also allows you to remove the bracket. The unglued joint at the top allows the long horizontal bar to tilt the frame up and down and the tablet. The only key part of this step is to make sure that when you finally glue the 45 degree connector, it is at 90 degrees with the top elbow. If you look back-to-back at the two intermediate parts in the photos on the supplies and tool steps, you will see that these parts are mirrored. If you don\'t explain this, the legs will point in the opposite direction. If you unwrap the tail caps, they may become a good storage room for pens or wind pens. The bracket is used to support your device on a table, countertop, bed or even knee. Very simple to make. The length marked on the picture above is important, so the bracket does not block the hole in the portrait position. The bracket simply rotates around the unglued joint of the top tee connected by 2. 5 \"machine screws for the top tee of the frame ( There is a hose gasket between the two tee). Make sure the top tee is facing the opening like in the picture so it doesn\'t block the screws below. The bracket can rotate up and form a handle, making the movement and positioning of the bracket easier. There are other ways to improve positions. In the picture above, I used scrunchies to hang the earbuds on one side and pick up the loose wires on the other side. I also hung up a mesh bag for my stylus convenience. For the sake of beauty, you may need to add an end cap at the end of the horizontal frame bar, or prevent sharp pipe edges ( You can also put the sand on the side. If you decide to use the end cap, you will need to extend the length of the four top and bottom by about 3/4 \". To prevent the unglued joints from being completely separated, you can connect the two pieces with a rope. Drill a hole in the two parts of the joint, but make sure not to go through the joint parts where the two parts overlap. Pass through one hole from the outside, then through the inside of the joint, and then through the other hole. Make a knot at both ends of the rope, but keep the length of the rope loose enough so you can still pull the joint apart. You may want to paint PVC with a special PVC paint ( Krylon™Fusion painting for this purpose). You can decorate it with bright paint and \"sparks\" to suit yourself or your children. If you have children, you may also want to use a round \"rubber nut\" instead of a wing nut to avoid the pointed head of the machine screw.
